Yvette Yende-Ashiri

NATIONAL PRESIDENT 2021

Yvette Yende-Ashiri was named the 2021 National President of JCI Canada. She is a woman of action and vision. She is the first Black woman ever to be elected into this prestigious role. 


Before joining JCI Canada, Yvette was a member of JCI Afrique Paris, France, in 2006.

She is recognized for her commitment and determination.

She is the founder of the current JCI Ottawa chapter and served as National Vice President in 2018 and 2019. 

In 2020, she held the position of Executive Vice President.

Stefan Cherwoniak

PAST NATIONAL PRESIDENT 2020

As a serial entrepreneur, Stefan values personal & business development, and he participates in the community in which he lives whenever he can.

For 11 years, he's a JCI member and held many positions locally, nationally and internationally.


His favourite word is Collaboration!


Stefan chose to engage with JCI - in Edmonton - to give back to his community by participating in the local organization's events and opportunities; this included everything from Networking to Business Dev't, the JCI Edmonton Hamper Program and Ronald McDonald House 'Home for Dinner' Programs, and much more.

As a board member, he wants to allow any person and personality to share their skills and learn the skills they don't.

Sue Solymosi

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Sue is married with 3 kids, a mortgage broker, and currently the 2021 Executive Vice President for JCI Canada.

She has been an active member of JCI since 2012.

Sue has always loved to volunteer and spend time working in the community. So after graduating from University, she was looking for something outside of work to spend time on. Sue joined JCI because it offers the opportunity to continue learning and growing through experience.

Sue currently applies to her role as JCI Canada Executive Vice President, which includes organization, time management, strategic planning, and business plan development and execution.

Graham Moir

NATIONAL TREASURER

Graham is a professional working in Kelowna, BC as a business professor, educational contractor and partner in a private equity venture.

Graham’s background as an accountant, business valuation and M&A advisor has assisted him in helping improve JCI’s governance at the local level.

Graham joined JCI for the social connections that I needed after arriving in a new city. The relationships gained as a member of JCI Kelowna have added significantly to his life.

The skills that Graham has applied to his roles with JCI include leadership, financial reporting and governance.

Crispin Bottomley

INTERIM SECRETARY GENERAL

Crispin is an active person in his community and participates in various groups, helping in different areas of opportunity.


JCI gave him an organization that unites all sectors. With continuous improvement as a personal goal, Crispin joined JCI in St.Catharines in 2013 to assist locally and saw opportunities beyond his chapter.

He ultimately served as 2019 national president and on international committees. 


As Interim Secretary-General, he does the board and members.


The skills and areas most used and learned through time by Crispin in JCI are investment and motivation. He applies what he's learned during his career, assisting current members and spread the organization's philosophy and beliefs by being a role model.
